Intermittent Fasting Associated with Elevated Risk of Cardiovascular Death

         Intermittent fasting has gained popularity in recent years, with many adherents swearing by its effectiveness for weight loss and overall health improvement. However, a recent study presented at the American Heart Association’s Epidemiology and Prevention│Lifestyle and Cardiometabolic Scientific Sessions 2024 has raised concerns about the potential risks associated with a specific method of intermittent fasting known as the 16:8 method.
